His
wife describes him best: "When Ronald gets excited about something,
nothing can stop him". That's because Ronald Leduc is a passionate
guy. But passionate doesn't even begin to express his love and understanding
of plants and the natural forces that are their life force. In fact,
over the years Leduc has taken an interest in almost everything
that grows. You'd be hard pressed to find another horticulturist
who knows as much about so many plants and trees. In short, Ronald
is a constant source of information on the plant kingdom.
Ronald Leduc made his mark as a
horticulturist-landscape architect early on, but it was Radio Canada's
Des jardins d'aujourd'hui of the 1980's that made Leduc famous.
Equipped with a green yet hardy language, gritty voice, infectious
enthusiasm and natural charm, Ronald easily won over his audience.
These days you can still spot
him on the small screen but he's most active in the field. Just
recently, Leduc helped landscape Parc Régional Bois de Belle-Rivière
near Mirabel where he was responsible for a stunning water garden,
involving extensive landscaping. Now more than ever, Ronald Leduc
is not afraid to get his hands dirty.
