RESTORATION
AND LANDSCAPING
Before taking on any projects, Ronald
takes the time to observe the present condition of the garden and
understand the character of the site. First, it's important to recognize
the potential of a garden and learn what it's lacking most by getting
to know the space. The more Leduc knows, the better he can accommodate
a plant to an area with favourable conditions, thus leaving it less
vulnerable and in need of care.
Next, he puts together a design
that's both harmonious and organic. Around an historic house, for
example, he prefers applying indigenous varieties. Or to renaturalize
deforested terrain, he'll try to reproduce a natural state using
similar species. In fact, he's made it a point to steer clear of
overload that's created by an overabundance of different varieties.
